چکیده
The mechanical properties of Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composite (UHPFRCC) is basically influenced by the type fibres and reactive binders used. Fibres primarily influence ductility whereas compressive strength UHPFRCC. Among commonly used binders, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (SL) with its vitreous nature has ability influencing both This study discussed microstructure six different mixtures made up 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% 75% 90% cement replacement SL. XRD results indicated that, increased levels C-S-H ettringite retard hydration process leading to lower vice versa. SL-cementitious composite can achieve a 108.1MPa 1.67% without use fibres. maximum were achieved 40% SL minimum 20% contents, respectively. Moreover, optimum (i.e. strength, tensile flexural strain) in cementitious composite.

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
1. Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is a by product of the steel industry. Blast furnace slag is defined as “the non-metallic product consisting essentially of calcium silicates and other bases that is developed in a molten condition simultaneously with iron in a blast furnace.” [1] In the production of iron, blast furnaces are loaded with iron o...

This paper describes a review of the potential use of High Strength Incorporating Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag and Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete used in construction industry to improve the structural strength and reduce steel reinforcements requirements. Blast furnace slag (GGBS) has been used as a supplementary material along with the cement. It helps in increasing the durability an...
متن کاملProperties of Cement Pastes Doped with Very High Amounts of Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag
In the current work, the properties of cement pastes doped with high amounts of ground granulated blast-furnace slag (HVS) were investigated. Portland cement (PC) was substituted with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (donated as slag) at very high amounts of 85%, 90%, 95% and 100%, by weight. PC paste without any content of slag was used as a reference. Some fresh and hardened properties su...
متن کاملSoil Stabilisation Using Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
Stabilisation is a broad sense for the various methods employed and modifying the properties of a soil to improve its engineering performance and used for a variety of engineering works. In today‟s day soil stabilisation is the major problem for civil engineers, either for construction of road and also for increasing the strength or stability of soil and reduces the construction cost. In this t...
